Does anyone know when PHP 5 will be coming to the shared webservers? We use Joomla for our CMS and it's starting to get frustrating as all of the new code is being written for PHP 5 and we still have 4.4.6, so our options are limited as to what we can use.

Hi,

The shared web hosting division is going to be completely revamped here in the next couple of months, which includes major upgrades to the system, services and capabilities.

We are working as quickly as possible to get everything ready and bring everything new online.

I have also asked them on upgrades. Hopefully they get everything upgraded by the time invision power board 3 comes out.

I'm sure hypernia will get it done, they are the best.

Hi Guys,

We will indeed have it done before long, we are replacing our old web clusters and will have everyone migrated to all new systems here before long.

Cheers!

Any chance of an ETA on php5...? Just getting anxious. Lots of web products heading that direction.

Thanks

. Straight-forward SPI iptables firewall script
. Daemon process that checks for login authentication failures for:
.. courier imap and pop3
.. ssh
.. non-ssl cpanel/webmail/whm
.. pure-pftd
.. password protected web pages (htpasswd)
.. mod_security failures
. POP3/IMAP login tracking to enforce logins per hour
. SSH login notification
. SU login notification
. Excessive connection blocking
. WHM configuration interface
. WHM iptables report log
. Easy upgrade between versions from within WHM
. Preconfigured to work on a cPanel server with all the standard cPanel ports open
. Auto-configures the SSH port if it's non-standard on installation
. Block traffic on unused server IP addresses - helps reduce the risk to your server
. Alert when end-user scripts sending excessive emails per hour - for identifying spamming scripts
. Suspicious process reporting - reports potential exploits running on the server
. Server Security Check - Performs a basic security and settings check on the server

Many great features. I have many email accounts and sensitive information, I would like this because of
better ip banning features and anti spamming scripts then mailscanner.

Don't believe you have access to much of it under a shared account, but you should take a closer look around if you already have an account http://pythona.hypernia.net/cpanel
